These lifts/hoists have been developed to assist with loading wheelchairs and scooters into cars. There are a variety of models available to lift manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs & Mobilty scooters.
Generally they are classified as follows:-
30kg,40kg,80kg,100kg & 150 Kg.
Some of them are availabe as 4 way lifts, they will lift Up & Down and they will also move In and Out of the vehicle. The standard models offer Up & Down lifts with manual In, Out operation.
